A New Theory

Over the past few days, I have developed a theory that I would like literary critiques to consider. I propose that AA Milne, PRIOR to writing his acclaimed work, 'Winnie The Pooh', visited Luxor. Here he encountered the donkey. He saw it whipped, beaten with sticks, planks of wood and tubing, he saw it starved so that the ribs showed, he it covered in sores from a rubbing harness, he saw it caked in dirt, left in harness for HOURS when not in use, and although a working animal with incredible capacity to bear weight, he saw a true embodiment of a 'beast of burden'! Thus, his experience produced the wonderful character of the melancholic Eeyore!!!! Whilst I have seen all of the above, I have also seen well fed & dare I suppose...happy...donkeys, but these were outside of Luxo, & living/working in the lush farming areas surrounding the irrigation ditches. I have become very fod of these beautiful little creatures, & whilst I have heard their plodding steps on the street, I have yet to hear one bray!
